1. About these terms

These terms are effective as of August 17, 2026, and may be updated as described in Section 11. 'Slantpoint,' 'we,' 'us,' and 'our' refer to the operator of this service. 'You' and 'your' refer to each person who accesses or uses the service.

This page states the terms under which Slantpoint is made available.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to create an account. When you register, you agree to provide accurate, current information and to keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account and must notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

3. The service

Slantpoint is a news-intelligence platform that aggregates, clusters, and analyzes how different media sources report the same stories. We present coverage differences as observable differences in framing, sourcing, and emphasis, and we do not assign automated bias scores.

• Content on Slantpoint includes neutral summaries, confirmed facts, disputed claims, timelines, and coverage comparisons.
• Cluster analysis may be generated or assisted by AI and is always labeled as such.
• We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time without notice.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose.
• Attempt to access, disrupt, or compromise the service, its infrastructure, or another user's account.
• Scrape, harvest, or systematically extract content in a way that overloads or degrades the service.
• Reproduce, redistribute, or resell content from Slantpoint without permission, except as permitted by fair use or as described in these terms.
• Introduce malware, spam, or any code designed to interfere with the service.
• Misrepresent your affiliation with Slantpoint or its sources.

5. Your content and preferences

Content you contribute — such as saved stories, followed topics, alerts, and correspondence — remains yours. By saving or submitting preferences, you grant Slantpoint a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store and display that content as needed to provide the service to you. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to any content you submit.

6. Slantpoint content and ownership

The Slantpoint service, including its software, design, summaries, analysis, logos, and brand, is owned by Slantpoint and its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Original reporting and articles referenced by Slantpoint remain the property of their respective publishers; we link to and attribute the original sources.

• You may view and use Slantpoint for personal, non-commercial purposes.
• You may share links to Slantpoint pages.
• You may not copy, redistribute, or commercially exploit Slantpoint content without written permission.

7. Third-party content and links

Slantpoint references and links to external sources, publishers, and third-party websites that we do not control. We are not responsible for the accuracy, availability, or content of those third parties. Your use of third-party sites is subject to their own terms and policies.

8. Disclaimers

Slantpoint is provided on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any analysis, summary, or classification is accurate or complete.

Slantpoint does not claim to eliminate slant. It makes framing, sourcing, and narrative differences visible and inspectable.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Slantpoint and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising out of or related to your use of the service — whether based on warranty, contract, tort, or any other legal theory, and whether or not we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Where liability cannot be excluded by law, it is limited to the maximum extent permitted.

10. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Slantpoint operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these terms or the service will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless you are a consumer with mandatory rights to a different forum under local law.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. We will post the updated terms on this page and revise the effective date. For material changes, we may also provide notice through the service. Your continued use of Slantpoint after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
